Ines Halden — brand & packaging designer
Identity and packaging that earns its shelf space.
I help independent food, beauty and product brands look as good as what’s inside the box. Nine years, 120+ launches, one designer you actually talk to.

About
Hi, I’m Ines.
Before going independent I spent six years at Porto studios packaging olive oil, wine and cosmetics. Now I take on a small set of founders each year and stay with them from naming the product to standing next to the press when it prints.
A note from Ines
Good packaging is the quiet salesperson in the room. I design the things people pick up first, so they stay on the shelf, in the kitchen and in the feed long after launch day.

Three steps, fixed price, no surprises.
Every project follows the same seven-week path. You always know what’s happening this week, what I need from you and what you get at the end.

Week 1
Discover
A kickoff call, a brief we both sign off, and a walk through the shelves where your product will sit. I come back with what competitors do and where you can stand apart.

02
Weeks 2 — 5
Design
Two distinct directions on real mockups, not mood boards. We pick one together and refine it across every format: labels, boxes, pouches and social.

03
Weeks 6 — 7
Deliver
Print-ready files, dielines checked with your printer, a guideline your team will actually open, and me on call for the first print run.

Ines rebuilt our packaging in seven weeks. Within a quarter two new retailers picked us up, and both mentioned the boxes.

She asked better questions about our coffee than our roaster did. The pouch system now scales to every new origin we add.

Clear plan, fixed price, files our printer approved first time. I have hired agencies three times her size that delivered less.

Our 3D renders went from 'fine' to the thing customers screenshot. Ines art-directed the whole set in two weeks.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Can’t find yours? Write to hello@halden.studio and I’ll answer the same week.

How much does a project cost?
Identity projects start at €6,500 and packaging systems at €9,000. You get a fixed quote after the intro call, and it doesn't change unless the scope does.
How long does it take?
Most projects take six to eight weeks from kickoff to print-ready files. Rush timelines are possible when the calendar allows.
Do you work with clients outside Portugal?
Yes. About two thirds of my clients are in the EU, the UK and North America. We work over calls and shared boards, and I travel for shoots.
Can you work with our existing printer?
Please do. I check dielines and proofs directly with your printer so nothing changes between screen and shelf.
What do I get at the end?
Source files, print-ready artwork, a brand guideline PDF and a folder of templates for social, decks and labels.
Do you only do packaging?
Packaging is the focus, but most projects include the identity around it: logo, type, colour, photography direction and the website look.
